Therese “Terry” Levett
October 9, 1927 to April 6, 2020

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our mother Therese “Terry” Levett.

There is so much I can say about our mother. Devoted wife of our father Bruce for over 50 years. Mother to Roger, Lesley, Clint, and Masaki. She always had time for everyone, starting with family of course. Even right up to the end whenever I walked in to see her, the color in her face just glowed. The short trip down to the pub for a glass of wine meant so much to her. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word. Grandchildren Brad, Patrick, Kevin, Johnathon, David, Sarah. Great grandchildren Mika, Kai, Louis, Leo. Children around her was all she needed.

She loved her garden. Growing things came naturally to her, no matter where she lived in the world. Her love of cats was matched by no one, people who knew her are laughing right now.

Our family knows the void in everyone’s heart right now is large and empty. Please let’s fill this void all the memories and photos put on this site. Speaking for myself, I know that will help me immensely..

Thank you for all your love and support

My condolences to Lesley, Clint, and those many members of Terry’s family whom I never met. Prior to her move from Squamish, I had the profound pleasure of being Terry’s Family Physician (and for a time in the early 2000’s, Bruce’s Physician as well!). Terry was forever one of my favourite patients; strong, opinionated, charming, funny, wryly-cantankerous and joyfully-combative in the best possible way - and underneath the illusory-prickly exterior, it was clear that she was always very kind. I missed her tremendously when she moved - and was saddened to hear of her passing (it always seemed like dying was something Terry would do only if and when she was good and ready)! People like Terry don’t come around that often - and I feel privileged to have met and known her...

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Terry. I met Terry when she came to visit Roger and Jennette in Ottawa, and we bonded over a common love of the slots. I know that Roger absolutely adored her, and always cherished his visits home where she told him to get a haircut and cut off his moustache. She was a woman of great humour and strength and a devoted mom, and wife. The world is a lot less interesting now that Terry has gone to join Roger and Bruce. Condolences to Lesley, and the family. Yes, mom loved gambling and was playing - AND WINNING - Bingo on a regular basis. Mom was a little disappointed that she could not play for money, but at least they played for the next best thing - CHOCOLATE - Mom had a drawer full of chocolate bars :-)

My deepest sympathy to all of the family! It's heart breaking to hear that she has left us. I will think of her now being with Bruce and all of her sister's getting caught up on all the news! She was the best neighbour a person could ask for and made you feel like family! Her magnolia trees are now in bloom and I will continue to think of her often when looking at them and try to feel like she never left. May God bless! Sincerely, Maxine Milligan

I never saw Auntie Terri very often, but one of my fondest memories are from the Lepitre family reunion in July of 2012. I thought I'd share a few photos from this very enjoyable and memorable event.

I remember one time playing hockey when I got hurt and there was blood. While I was being tended to I glanced over to mom and dad and saw dad holding mom back from jumping over the boards. I still remember thinking “dad don’t let go” .
