It is with both aching sadness and loving appreciation that we announce the passing of Susan Wan Yee Cheng on Saturday April 20th 2019. Sadness for her absence and our loss, but also a deep appreciation for all she brought to her family, friends and the world around her. Being a stoic by nature, she drew on her love of textiles and her interest in Greek mythology to say simply that Atropos had cut her thread to a middling length. At other times, she said she had crappy genes. She is missed deeply by her partner of thirty years, John Stevens, and her two cherished sons Mikhail and Soren Elsay, as well as her extended family.

A remembrance of Susan's life will be held at The Brew Creek Centre on Friday April 26th at 2:30pm. If you are so inclined, bring a small dessert and be prepared to take a little home. We're pretty sure the table full of confections made with love is where Susan will be hanging out, cooing with delight.
