Obituary for Rob Brown

Robert Stanley Brown passed away suddenly on March 14, 2019. He was born on March 15, 1956 and in 1960 he moved with his family to Squamish where spent his whole life. As a young man he loved being outside playing shinny, camping, hunting and dirt biking. One of his fondest memories was doing the Bowron Lakes canoe trip with his dad, brother Kerry and cousin Wayne. For many years he worked with Dad and Kerry at MacMillan Bloedel, then later at the family business Brown’s Video. More recently, Rob was employed by Squamish Valley Golf Club and looked forward to the spring when he would be part of the team looking after the course. Later in life Rob had a passion for computers and games that he shared with his nephews and also loved to cook. Rob is predeceased by his dad, Howard, and his mom, Shirley. Left to remember Rob are his brother Kerry (Dee), sisters Carol and Wendy (Rande), nephews Kyle and Josh, cousin Wayne and many extended family members. We will miss you so much, Rob. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.bcendocrineresearch.com/make-a-donation/ for diabetes research. A private celebration of Rob’s life will take place in early summer.
