Friday July 23rd between 3 and 5 pm.

The chapel’s capacity is 100 people inside and possible 150 on the patio and lawn area. Apparently we can broadcast the audio portion of the service to speakers outside on the patio area. We encourage everyone who goes into the chapel to wear a mask. The speakers will probably not be masked and there will be a quartet singing some songs.

We anticipate the service will take about 1 hour, though it may go a little over that, and then an hour after to talk outside. We will need to clear off the property by 5 pm, so that the church can have their regular evening service.

We will try to bring the urn and memory table outside after the service if we can, so people can go by it without going inside. We hope to have tea or coffee and a small snack that will be served outside. If you are concerned about COVID exposure, there is the Zoom link option, and we encourage you to attend online instead.

It could be sunny and hot, so bring a sun hat for the outdoor portion. Peter wasn’t a formal attire person very often, though he did clean up well, so I think he would rather you be comfortable and shaded, especially if it is hot.

A note about the Zoom broadcast of the service on the Internet. Apparently the chapel is down an Internet dirt road and they have suggested that we not rely on their DSL line, but instead broadcast using the cellular network. This could result in not a totally excellent experience, so we ask your patience. If there are any disruptions online, we will be recording the event and will post a link to the video as soon as possible after the service.
