Obituary for Michael Paul Lyons

Michael Paul Lyons
1956-2018

It is with great sadness and without warning “Mike” left us on December 25th, 2018, at the age of 62.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Finck, his devoted daughter Michelle ( Chelle) Lyons of Squamish BC. His father Robert Lyons, step mother Marilyn and Sister Cathy, and brother Bradley. Half sisters Cathy, Colleen and Lorraine and half brothers Donny and Kevin. Along with many nieces and nephews all in Ottawa, Ontario.
Michael was pre deceased by his mother May, brother Bobby and sister Colleen.

Michael lived life to the fullest. He was best known for his warm smile and a kind words. He was a jolly gentleman.
Born in Ottawa, Ontario he attended Algonquin College and later moved to BC.

Mike was an avid skier, hiker, runner, baseball and hockey player, political activist and a Mason. He served as a paramedic for 30 years along the Sea Corridor. Mike was a Health and Safety Educator having worked in the Oil Sands many years along with various other positions involving safety.
Travel , music and singing were mikes other passions.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for February 11, 2019, at Norman and Rudy’s, Squamish BC from 4–7 pm with a tribute at 6 pm Please join us to share stories songs and memories.
