Obituary for Lyn Jack Lindsay
In the early hours of May 10th, 2021, Lyn Lindsay, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully in Squamish, B.C. Lyn leaves behind his loving wife, Donna Lindsay, sons Greg (Sarah), Paul (Mandy), and daughters Samantha and Michelle (Rob).
For thirty years, Lyn worked for BC Rail until he eventually retired in 2004. He loved his family, friends, and community.
He was an active and long-time member of the Squamish Valley Golf Club, in which he served over twenty years on the executive board at the club. Lyn’s service to the Squamish Valley Golf Club over the years was immense and his dedication to the Club and his love of the game was evidenced by the sheer amount of time that he spent there. Lyn was ‘at home’ when he was at the Club, whether it be chairing a Board Meeting, doing a pre-round scout for balls around the ponds or having a couple of cold beverages with his long-time golf and pre-retirement work colleagues.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lyn’s honour to the Sea to Sky Hospice Society.
