Obituary for Jon Mulville
Jonathan Errol Mulville (Jon)
August 24,1968 - December 13,2020
Jon Mulville, resident of Squamish BC, formerly of Smiths Falls, ON, passed away suddenly at the age of 52. Dearest son of Jean Mulville, only son of the late Errol John Mulville and Patricia Anne Burke. Predeceased by his beloved Aunt Betty (Elizabeth) Mulville, grandparents Gerald and Jeanne Mulville, Smiths Falls, and Jim and Bessie Burke of Calgary. Cherished big brother to Stephanie Mulville (Paul Bergeron), Rebecca Mulville, both of Ottawa, Terri Mulville (Gord Langdon), and Mary-Jayne (Dale Kerfoot), and loved little brother to Cathy (Gord Rivoire), Kim (Bob Gauthier), and Robin (Hugh Gillespie) all of Smiths Falls. Dear friend to Chris Carson Jeff Verloop, Colin Solly, and his curling team of Squamish BC. Much loved uncle to Dillan ,Teegan,Amanda,Ryan,Adam,Caitlyn,Douglas, Meredith,Samatha,Cassandra,and Cole. Many friends and large extended family will also miss him.
Jon attended Queen’s University 1987-91 and graduated on the Dean’s List with a degree in Mathematical and Mechanical Engineering. In 1993, Jon left Ontario for BC to go skiing for a year, and fell in love with the mountains. and decided to make it a permanent home. He loved curling, mountain biking, golfing, skiing and kayaking. He made a living as a carpenter, mostly in Whistler BC, and subsequently bought a home in Squamish.
Jon excelled in every endeavor of his life but had to overcome several health issues, Sadly, Jon struggled within himself and as he lived on his own terms, he also died on those terms. During the evening on Sunday, December 13, Jon decided to take his own life, leaving his friends and family devastated.
