John “Desi” began his journey feb 22 1929 in the town of Newry in Northern Ireland. At the age of 16 he moved over to England where he met his late wife Rosheen.
From there he took his family via the Queen Mary to Nova Scotia where they eventually settled in Dundas Ontario. In 1986 he relocated to Vancouver where he started and excelled at ballroom dancing. In his late 80s he moved to Squamish to be with his two surviving daughters.
His journey ended July 17 2021. He leaves behind 2 children, Christine and Julia (Olaf) ; his grandchildren Natalie (David), Leanne (Jon) and Errol. His great grandchildren Olivia and Charlotte. Pre deceased by his wife Rosheen, son James, and daughter Denise.
We thank Dr. Jamieson and all of the staff at Hilltop House for the exemplary care he received in the last months of his life.
