It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the death of our beloved husband and father John Cooney. He died peacefully on November 20th at Squamish hospital with family Pat (wife), Michael (son), Andrea (daughter), Angela (daughter) as well as Cindy (sister-in-law), Vince and Claudia (brother and sister-in-law) surrounding him with love. We are heartbroken but he is finally out of pain and with his daughter Lara who has been waiting in Heaven to introduce her amazing father to everyone she's met. That would be everyone.
There will be a funeral mass for John at St. Joseph's Church, 2449 The Boulevard in Squamish on Monday, November 26 at 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life memorial at 1 p.m. at Norman Rudy's (Executive Suites Hotel) 40900 Tantalus Rd., Garibaldi Highlands.
An additional mass will be held in Ontario at St.Patrick's Church, 5633 Hwy 7 Markham on December 5 at 11 a.m. with reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in John's name to your favorite charity.
