It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry (the Candy Man) Boothroyd on January 8, 2021 after a short battle with Cancer. He was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend. He was well known for his many stories and jokes. He always had a friendly smile and wave, greeting everyone, he always made time to talk.
Dad grew up in Richmond BC, moving to Squamish in 1963 with his bride, our mom, Kathy. Owen came along in 1970, with Sheri following in 1973.
Mom and Dad owned Howe Sound Vending for many years servicing machines throughout Squamish. Dad volunteered with the RCMP for 35 years. Mom and Dad enjoyed many years of retirement being snow birds, wintering in Casa Grande Arizona.
We would like to thank Dr. Bull, Dr. Miller, all the Hospice staff, and Home support for all the care and compassion you have given all of us during this time.
Rest easy Dad, we love you.
A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Saturday May 21,2022 at 12:00 noon at Squamish Funeral Chapel.
