June 10th 1938- May 8th 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jarnail Singh Haer on May, 8th 2021 due to natural causes from old age.

He is survived by his wife Naranjan Haer and his children, Jaswinder (Baljit) Samra, Malkeet (Karmjit) Haer, Gurdial (Sukhjit) Haer, Pindy (Sukhjit) Johal, and Harjinder (Sharan) Haer. Grandchildren: Sukhdip, Paula, Arvinder, Aman, Preet, Jason, Jaslene, Rajan, Anisha, Simrin, Siya, Rhea and Jeevan as well as great grandchildren, Ajit and Karmen.


Jarnail was born in Littran, Punjab in 1938 where he lived for 35 years alongside his 7 sisters and 1 brother. He worked in the fields as a farmer and as a competitive wrestler. He immigrated to Squamish in 1970. He worked at the Squamish Mill before spending 20 years working for and retiring from BC Rail.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The funeral will be taking place via Zoom and all are invited to join via the link

Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to Hear family on the passing of Mama Ji. May his sole rest in peace. He was great company during our visits. We will miss his jolly manner. Mama Ji had a great life. He was proud of what he had achieved and was very proud of his family. We will miss him.
