Obituary for James Carl Arneson

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of James Carl Arneson on October 6, 2020. He was born
on June 16, 1942 in Foam Lake, SK. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Nadine, his daughter Nona (Todd) Johnstone of Ajax, ON and their children Madison Rose Johnstone and Samantha Aden Johnstone, daughter Nancy Arneson (Ben Hawkins) and their children Jackson Ian Dean Hawkins and Daisy Jane Hawkins. Also left to mourn, his brother Dan (Marilyn) Arneson, his sister Phyllis (Mike) Kuntz and brother Wayne (Brianna) Arneson, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. After years of working as a heavy duty mechanic and welder in various places in the logging industry, he took his family to Iran for a 3 1/2 year adventure (yes logging too). Upon returning to Canada he started his own company (Tri-N) with gravel & logging trucks. He was a deep thinker, an inventor and had fierce convictions. He was always ready to defend his position. He liked to be right, and often gave unsolicited advice. He liked to tease and had a wry sense of humour. He was generous and loved a good party. After retirement he learned how to use a computer and compiled the Family Tree(s). He also taught himself how to use a digital camera and took amazing photos of hummingbirds, eagles, crows and sunrise or moonrise shots that were spectacular. He adored his grandchildren and always made time to take them on special grandpa adventures or just sit and listen to them talk at him. We will miss him forever. Rest in peace dear husband, father, grampa, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend.
