Our most heartfelt condolences to the family & friends of Roy Heslop.

Roy will be remembered for his friendly ways and hospitality. There were many wonderful family gatherings at Janet (my sister) and Roy’s home in the early years. One special memory stands out. When Roy and Janet heard Jake & I we’re traveling to Germany for Jake’s Dad’s 81st birthday, they sent along a vacuumed packed filleted fish, caught at Canim Lake. Dad Sawatzky said it was the best fish he had ever tasted and he was so thrilled to receive the gift. It was a good day.

To the family, we are so sorry for your loss.

Roy was a man of good quality, & passion.
He had a love of good food, good music and the love he had for our mother (Gertie Hooge), who we miss dearly! He had a passion in everything he said, he meant.

Jay and I have fond memories of our time we spent with Roy & Jan up in Alberta.
Hanging out with the kids, Roys dad (Bert) and sister (Ruth), barbquing, dancing, painting rocks and just good ol talks by the outdoor camp fire.

We will miss you Roy, our brother-in law.
There wont be another,

Rest In Peace,

Love Sheila, Jay & Loomis (Henkel)
