Obituary for Denise Madeline Whitmore

Denise (Denny) Whitmore born in Ottawa 1930. French was her mother language.
She had a twin brother die at birth.
An older sister Terry and a brother Mo.
Denise left home at 15 years of age, to live her life.
She found a place to live, a job and taught herself English.
Denise eventually married a veteran (Arthur, Art) through correspondence, in November 1955.
He was a lineman and travelled the country looking for better jobs.
They enjoyed the outdoors together.
They had 3 children. Two girls (Elaine and Sandy then Wayne).
Sandy had two sons, Shane and Steven. Denise helped with them over the years.
Elaine lives in Edmonton with her two sons.
Wayne resides in the United States.
A better job took the family to the United States. They became US citizens. While living in Bay City, Michigan Denise was a Doctor's assistant as well as a reception-secretary.
When a new job for Art was found in Canada, the family had to make another transition once again.
Arthur passed away in June 1985.
From Edmonton, Denise moved to Squamish. She purchased a mobile trailer in 1987.
Had a job as Librarian, Petawawa Military Base, Ontario and working in a Jewellery store, Squamish.
She became an active volunteer in the community. Squamish Legion, Bingo and Friday night dinners, Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Hilltop house Gift Shop, RCMP Community Policing office and the Seniors Center.
