Obituary for Dante Miorin
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Dante Miorin.
Dante was born in Pescincanna, commune di fiume veneto, Italy in 1937.
He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in Squamish in 1965 where he raised his family and had a long career at Woodfibre.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Maria, children Resi (Randy), Rick, Steven (Zennia), Diana (Jason), and grandchildren Taylor, Max, Aiyanna, and Caleb, as well as his extended family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father Sante, mother Teresa, brother Camillo, and sister Santina.
Dante was a kind, good man who loved to garden, gather firewood, listen to music and read.
He enjoyed being a member of the Italian society, and The Knights of Columbus.
Those who knew him knew that he enjoyed making vino and sharing it with friends and family around the kitchen table over many stories and good conversations.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the alzheimer society of BC would be appreciated.
