Obituary for Gwyneth May Lynd

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gwyneth Lynd announce her passing, on January 15, 2020. At the newly opened and beautifully ran and staffed Squamish Hospice. She was born on May 23, 1937, in Shrewsbury England and immigrated to Canada in 1964 and married in 1975.

She will be lovingly remembered and forever cherished by her husband Peter, daughters Kathryn (Andy), Tanya (Brandon) sons Michael (Bal) and Mark. Her sister Rosemary (Terry), brother in law, John (Peggy) sister in law Diane (Dale). Her niece, nephew, and of course her 9 grandchildren.

She was a devoted mother, an avid walker, an amazing gardener. She participated yearly in Terry Fox run/walk with her best friend Litsa. She nurtured her long time friendships by attending the symphony together, at least 3-4 times a year. Where they made time for lunch or tea high tea after, so they could catch up on each other lives.

Special thanks to Dr. Richard Cudmore, Squamish Hospital, and the Squamish Hospice. Celebration of life on March 22, 2020. Time and venue to be announced.

If anybody would like to donate in my mother's name to the Squamish Hospice. She would've chosen that thank you.

The address is 38146 Behrnere Drive, Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Sea to Sky Community Hospice Unit, Squamish, BC V8B 0J3
