It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Laird Borgen Larsen August 17th 1959 ~ December 25th 2019. After a short battle with cancer Laird passed away suddenly at the Squamish Hospice. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Wife Lori, daughters Jennifer (Brian) Squamish, Megan (Travis) 100 Mile House and Amanda (Russell) Squamish BC. Grandchildren ~ Malaya ~ Braydan ~ Kamryn ~ Meah ~ Brantley Konnor ~ Kinslee, Mother ~ Helen Campbell River ~ Father ~ Bert (predeceased), sisters Lyssa (predeceased) Leah (Norman), Sidney BC and step family Chris (predeceased) Carol and Steven. Nephew Alexander (predeceased) niece Klaudya. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Laird had a very devoted group of close friends. Born in Vancouver BC and moved to Squamish in 1972.
Laird and Lori met at a young age and fell in love and raised there three beautiful daughters. He was a loyal husband,father, grandfather, brother and friend. Laird worked at Woodfiber for 28 years and then Murrin Construction. Laird enjoyed his summers at Anderson Lake and loved playing softball then coaching. He never missed his hockey, football games or a Kokanee in hand. Laird’s great presence, sense of humour and love of life will be profoundly missed our love for him will abide.
