Obituary for Elfriede Lina Agnes Ehrenlechner
A resident of Squamish since 2001, Elfriede passed away peacefully at Hilltop House on Sunday morning, July 2. Remembered with fondness by daughter Susan (Andy), and sons Ottmar (Pierrette) and Oswald (Karen) as well as grandchildren Jennifer, Gabrielle, Camille, Tarl, Ian, Andy and Emma.
Elfriede lived in Germany, Edmonton and Squamish. She enjoyed being in her garden wherever she lived and had a love of animals, particularly her pet cockatiel Charlie, who lived with her for 22 years.
Many thanks to the staff of Hilltop House LCU unit for all the care and compassion they provided in making Elfriede’s stay as pleasant as possible and for making her passing a peaceful transition. Also heartfelt thanks to the volunteers from the Squamish Hospice Society for their selfless dedication and comfort.
A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 5 where the family will share fond memories of “Mom/Oma”.
